Devices and internet
- Sugama runs on iPad, iPhone and Android phones.
- The first time, it needs the internet to download chapters 2 to 5, the handwriting reader (about 2 MB) and, for spoken answers, the voice data (about 75 MB). After that it plays without internet.
- If a chapter has not downloaded, connect to the internet and open the map again.
Ways to answer
- The default is “Write by hand”. Switch during a fight with the button in the corner of the answer panel, or in Settings › How to answer.
- “Speak” understands Vietnamese only. The app needs microphone access; allow it in the device settings.
- Writing done but nothing sent? Settings has a choice for how long to wait after writing.
Difficulty and math points
- The default is “Leaf 0–100”. For questions that follow the math points, choose “Automatic” in the Parents' corner › Difficulty.
- Feels rushed? Turn on “Gentle mode”: monsters stand still while your child answers.
- Can't read yet? “Read questions aloud” is on by default.
Your own questions
In the Parents' corner, tap “Download template”, edit it in Excel or Numbers, save it as CSV and pick the file. The game checks every row and shows which ones need fixing.
Your child's data
- Everything about your child stays on the device. Deleting the app deletes it all.
- “Save child's voice” is off by default; turning it off again deletes the recordings.
